Patricia Martyn

I am a Psychologist who specialises in trauma therapy to help clients find balance, peace and increased resilience in their lives. This is my fourth career after working as a pathology technologist, legal secretary and property economist. I have undertaken long term study on personality and how behaviour patterns impact our lives. This has enabled me to create solutions for clients experiencing difficulties in their interpersonal relationships. My approach is always strength based, aiming to increase resilience and promote wellbeing whilst using evidence based therapies.

My decision to focus on trauma work relates to my observation that many of my clients’ longstanding mental health issues appear to have originated in untreated trauma. I am passionate about personal growth work and this is a natural progression that occurs with trauma work.
