Anchoring IFS Skills – 2 day workshop in Sydney
June 30 - July 1
Welcome to Anchoring IFS Skills, a 2-day workshop to fortify your practice through experiential exercises, practice, demos and discussion. CE points for certifying IFS practitioners are available from CSL.
Mariel Pastor, LMFT, Internal Family Systems Lead Trainer with the US Center for Self Leadership
Most consolidating practitioners of any therapy hit roadblocks or plateaus at one time or another. Their own parts might get discouraged about the process or become worried they’ll lead clients into unknown territories with backlash as a result. Even confident IFS practitioners may face challenges not addressed in their training.
IFS is intuitive yet complex, making it helpful to review the process and practices in a new way, from another perspective, and with tools specific to particular needs.
This supportive workshop will bring even more depth and refinement to your essential IFS skills and knowledge, clarifying stuck points in the process in you and/or in your client’s system.
Today more than ever the world needs us to heal our own divisions in order to move forward in wholeness. Are you in?
In this 2 day workshop you will:
A) Gain confidence in preparing new clients for IFS and contracting to work with parts
B) Restore trust in Self leadership with ‘tough” protectors and firefighters
C) Recognise and work with Self-like parts without upsetting or indulging them
D) Solidify skills to prevent overwhelm or abreaction, and
E) Learn creative ways to unburden
- Introducing the model & Contracting with parts
- Recognising and working with Self-like parts
- Working with Difficult Protectors & Firefighters
- Creative Unburdening & Integrating Gifts
- Healing along the Self Spectrum
- Transformation and the Unburdened System
The Introductory Workshop (weekend of 9-10th June 2018 in Pymble, Sydney, or 2nd and 22nd at the Bouverie Centre in Melbourne) will teach the basics of the IFS approach from the ground up. Having completed that you may enrol for this Anchoring workshop.
Who is this for?
Participation is for IFS training therapists and counsellors, mental health clinicians, certified coaches, or students in accredited graduate training programs. Practitioners working experientially and wholistically will find this approach broadens and makes more acute their existing work through using the steps of the IFS ‘parts’ model.
Attending a previous Introductory workshop, a Level 1 certification, or ongoing IFS supervision are a pre-requisite for attending this CE-endorsed event here with Mariel.
This event is endorsed for 10 CE hour units by the US Center for Self Leadership for those post-Level 1 practitioners seeking accreditation hours for full certification.
